Connie Croshaw
Independent Regional Advisor – Hawaii, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Indiana, and Southern Michigan
Connie Croshaw grew up on a farm in Northern Utah and is the youngest of eight children. She has always had the drive and desire to assist others. Connie went through many career changes over the years, including a senior high school teacher, small business owner/operator of The Screen Printer, Realtor®, and flight attendant. As fate would have it, in May of 2004, while riding her motorcycle, she came across an opportunity that would change her life forever!
As Connie came to a stop at a traffic light, she met another motorcycle enthusiast and Nouveau Riche Alumni, INSA Cheri Tree. Through a brief conversation at consecutive stop lights, Cheri prompted Connie to attend a Nouveau Riche Luncheon Briefing in Salt Lake City. It only took one look at the program for her to make the decision to join the Nouveau Riche Community. After so many different career changes, the opportunity to learn how to leverage other’s resources rather than being leveraged herself, enticed Connie. However, finding $16K for tuition seemed impossible, especially on her $21K yearly wage as a flight attendant. She was determined to attend the impending college session only ten days away. Connie credits friend Joan Evans for funding and assistance in the early days which included her initial tuition.
Formerly a Realtor®, Connie was familiar with real estate sales and had been personally restoring historic homes since the early 90’s, including her own. Using her new found knowledge from attending “Fix and Flip” focused courses at her first Nouveau Riche College, Connie tripled her yearly flight attendant salary on a duplex she acquired as a short sale from a bank in Utah. That purchase alone allowed her the freedom to leave the airlines, complete the rehab on the duplex, and join in the Nouveau Riche nationwide expansion as an IRA, with Cheri Tree as her INSA.
Connie started marketing Nouveau Riche’s products with the original California Team then literally went “on the road” to Ohio working from a mobile office. Over the past two years, Connie has been assisting in the Los Angeles and Hawaii markets. As of January 2008, she went “on the road” again to assist in opening the Colorado and Wyoming markets.
Attributing her pioneering spirit to her Mormon grandparents who crossed the plains to make a better life, Connie shares her strategies for overcoming common obstacles on the entrepreneurial path. HER DESIRE: to assist others in getting past their own limiting beliefs, develop balance, and stay committed to the journey. Best known for her compassion for others, Connie’s definition of success is assisting as many people as possible in achieving their goals!

A native to the “friendly” Islands of Tonga in Hawaii, Tevita Ma’ilei was, in his own words, “living on a shoe string budget without the shoe string.” Tevita performed hard manual labor for over a decade as a ground laborer in the Landscaping and Tree Trimming business, at a mere $21,000 a year. Day to day, he continued to work long hours just to support his family of four children and his wife. The long hours prevented him from having any extra time to spend with his family, or to plan for their future. Tevita was in a constant search of the vehicle that would place him and his family in a better financial position. That day finally came with a call from a friend, INSA Charles Hosea.
Charles had recently moved to Hawaii with his family to experience the “Island” life. He invited Tevita to a meeting about Nouveau Riche, but with Tevita’s demanding schedule he was not able to attend. The next day at work, Tevita realized how much he disliked where he was in his life and made a commitment to himself to make a change. He quickly accepted Charles’ next invitation to a Nouveau Riche briefing and, after listening to Charles’ presentation, Tevita knew he’d found the opportunity and blessing he was looking for.
Tevita decided that his biggest obstacle to making his dreams come true was his current job. After that revelation, he resigned from his position and partnered up with his mentor and leader, INSA Charles Hosea, to begin marketing Nouveau Riche! Tevita went from making $21,000 yearly to generating $21,000 monthly marketing Nouveau Riche, and controlling multiple investment properties. Finally, he has found his passion, helping others achieve their goals and reach their dreams, while successfully providing a bright future for his family.
“I have led my family to a future that will have a legacy that is credited to the great people with great visions who have hearts of champions, the leaders of Nouveau Riche!” says Tevita. “Thank you Mary Piccolo, Jim Piccolo, Bob Snyder, Cheri Tree, and my mentor Charles Hosea.”
Vanessa Otero and Kallen Marques

Vanessa Otero graduated from UCLA with an English and Pre-Med degree. She always knew that she wanted to be “successful” and create financial freedom for her family, and she thought that being a doctor was the answer. However, wanting to explore other avenues of achieving financial success, she put off going to medical school right after college. She landed a sales job with Xerox Corporation, which opened her eyes to opportunity in business and sales. She started climbing the corporate ladder and soon got a job as a pharmaceutical sales representative. Although her job title was prestigious and she had a great income at age 24, she quickly realized that the business and financial success she sought was not going to be found working for someone else--in a j-o-b. Longing to find that financial success, Vanessa tried her hand at some other businesses and real estate opportunities, only to find herself financially upside-down.
An immigrant from Brazil, Kallen Marques knew at a young age that she wanted to achieve the “American Dream.” She came to America with little money in her pocket, but she did all the “right” things-- earning a BA in Business and Marketing from Bluffton University, and a Master’s degree in Higher Education from Bowling Green State University. She even landed a highly sought-after job in her field, working for UCLA. She thought this was a dream come true, but it didn’t take her long to realize that the salary she earned was not in line with her picture of the American Dream. She knew of several friends who were making great money in real estate, so she started working as a mortgage loan officer part–time, while still at UCLA.
In November of 2006, Vanessa and Kallen discovered Nouveau Riche in Los Angeles. They knew that they could use all aspects of the system to get what they really wanted out of real estate and their American Dream. They immediately focused on the marketing opportunity, given that neither of them were in a good financial position at the time. A couple months after getting certified--and still broke--they banked on the idea that being mentored by INSA Cheri Tree in the early days of a market would pay off, and decided to follow her to Hawaii. Vanessa remained in California working her pharmaceutical sales job, marketing Nouveau Riche part-time, while Kallen went to Hawaii, leaving her network and contacts behind in Los Angeles. Starting off in Hawaii not knowing a single person, Kallen hit the ground running, networking and telling the Nouveau Riche story. Vanessa and Kallen found the right people for this business and, within six months, they were able to generate well over six figures in income, allowing Vanessa to quit her job, and move to Hawaii permanently. Today, they continue to successfully market the Nouveau Riche opportunity, feeling blessed to be part of the Hawaiian market and to work with the amazing people in the community. Now contributing as Independent Regional Advisors, they truly feel they are fulfilling their dreams.
