SETTING THE STAGE
College Director and VP Product Development, Carmen Payne, kicked off the night, setting the tone for an uplifting event, as she brought the crowd to their feet with an inspirational Nouveau Riche chant: “I say change, you say LIVES, ….I say pay it, you say FORWARD…” Proof of this very message, our 2008 Five Star Winners Circle Grand Champions, INAs Tami and Andre Popa, took center stage, keeping spirits high as they introduced the driving force of NR’s external team – NR Co-founder and Master Trainer, “The General” – Bob Snyder!

THE FREEDOM AWARD: WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
“The General” began the evening’s announcements with some special “friends” - Third Grade Heroes from Arrowhead Elementary School. Students and teachers were presented with “The Freedom Award”, from The Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation, in recognition of their outstanding efforts to encourage and support our troops stationed overseas. Their entire third grade class participated in the “Footballs for Freedom” program through Smith Barney, and raised more than $250 to buy footballs to be shipped to soldiers overseas. They also lent their encouragement to our troops by writing heart-felt letters of appreciation with messages such as: “If it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t be able to do any of this stuff. I really support you! I’m happy you’re protecting us... ” Monday night, third grader Nate captured the hearts of attendees as he shared how charitable activity makes him feel, how it affects lives, and most importantly, how this experience can impact you and become a learning experience for others in the future: “IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIVES FOREVER!” These third graders exemplify the spirit of giving and gratitude. They “make you understand we can make a difference,” remarked Bob Snyder. They set the stage for us to do good things and inspire others to do the same.

Next up, “The General” got to the heart of NR’s solution to the recession: the E.P.I.C. Solution. He urged ISAs to be sensitive when presenting what may, for some, be a new way of looking at business and a career. He stated that people often buy when the pain of the problem becomes greater than the solution, and NR is a problem solver. He presented the importance of changing the perceived value of NR by helping others to recognize the many benefits of NR’s solution – from experiencing an opportunity presentation to events such as PIC Your Mentor – it’s well worth the price. He spoke about NR’s educational products offered at different price points, about getting people to better themselves by understanding how to better their finances, and broke down the three common questions potential customers ask: Does it work? Will it work for me? Will I do it? “The General” explained, “it’s about painting the picture of possibility for others…understanding the language of increase instead of decrease…and investing in themselves!” Then, once you’ve helped a person understand the program, it’s time to help them explore their options on how to participate. The night’s festivities culminated in Master Entrepreneur and Nouveau Riche CEO Jim Piccolo’s message about changing the way you think about education and a special gift for attendees. First, our CEO shared startling facts on the current state of the economy and demystified perceptions, with eye-opening facts from work ethic, to financial literacy, U.S.A. literacy, our health, and more. Jim Piccolo reminded us of our American heritage, and asserted that “It’s time to fight for our freedom!...We are…our own worst enemy!” What is the solution? EDUCATION! Piccolo says, “It’s time to make ‘SMART’ popular!”
